Summary
In this chapter, we spent some time to better familiarize ourselves with the process involved in preparing media assets for our HTML5 projects. Also, preparation and integration techniques for each of the typical multimedia formats as well as some popular pieces of software available to aid in getting this done were covered in this chapter. We took a quick jump right into ActionScript 3 versus JavaScript syntax in order to become more familiar with the small but important difference while writing JavaScript compared to ActionScript 3. This sets us up perfectly for Chapter 3, Scalability, Limitations, and Effects, where we will begin putting HTML5 to the limits in order to see what are its limitations and short comings as well as all of the surprising things it can do.
