1.2 NB-IoT WI目标
根据NB-IoT WI,其立项目标为“The objective is to specify a radio access for cellular internet of things, based to a great extent on a non-backward-compatible variant of E-UTRA, that addresses improved indoor coverage, support for massive number of low throughput devices, low delay sensitivity, ultra low device cost, low device power consumption and (optimised)network architecture. ”定义蜂窝物联网的无线接入,在很大程度上基于非后向兼容的 E-UTRA,增强室内覆盖,支持大量的低吞吐量设备,低延迟敏感度,超低成本、低功耗设备和(优化)网络体系架构。
NB-IoT要支持3种操作模式:
(1)Stand-alone:利用目前GERAN系统占用的频谱,替代目前的一个或多个GSM载波;

(2)Guard-band:利用目前LTE载波保护带上没有使用的资源块;
